Over the past two decades, the number of PMU stylists has risen sharply. For end customers, it is often difficult to tell who actually does quality work and who does not, due to the glossy presentations on social media. The Swiss Association for Permanent Make Up certifies verified providers who meet the highest quality, safety, and hygiene standards.

As a member, you will be tested on hygienic and responsible working practices and can register for the Certified Dermapigmentologist Examination.
Before the exam, a preliminary course at a partner training institute of the professional association is required. Depending on your previous knowledge and individual assessment, you will only complete the theoretical part or both theory and practice. You order the course materials directly from the Association for Permanent Make Up; they will be issued by your trainer at the training institute.
The SC Academy is the first international training institute to be authorized to offer these preliminary courses on behalf of the Swiss professional association.
Content
Theory – preparation for the exam in:
- Makeup artistry
- Classical color theory
- Pigmentation techniques
- Guidelines
Practice – training in the assessment criteria:
- Eyebrows using the hair stroke technique
- Eyeliner/lash line
- Lip contour with shading
Models: You must organize your own models for the practical exam.

With over two decades of experience and numerous training courses, including as a make up artist and qualified alternative practitioner, she follows a holistic and gentle approach, which she also teaches in her training courses. Her studio offers a relaxed atmosphere with soft colors, soft light and simple elegance. Following the motto "Gentle beauty - high standards", customers and trainees alike are happy to put themselves in Svenja's hands.

Esra Sagirosman is an athletic, cheerful travel enthusiast and experienced beauty expert with over 20 years of professional experience. She continuously expands her in-depth knowledge of current developments and trends in order to offer her clients holistic and contemporary treatments.
At her studio, HolisticBeauty, in St. Gallen, Switzerland, she places great importance on individual consultation and tailors each treatment specifically to the needs of her clients for optimal and lasting results.
